so here we are, almost 9 months later.. O_o
my internship at Shosho has ended,
and after a couple more months of working there, sadly, they told me they can't keep me on.
it's been a wonderful experience, awesome colleagues, and I got to work on some really cool stuff
it's been super educational
but now, it's time for me to move on.
so: I am currently looking for a job in 3D (character) animation!
and to aid me in my quest for a job, I present to you:

I have decided I am not going to keep tweaking this.
instead, I am moving on!
moving on to, hopefully, creating many more animations :)
in a week or so, I will start my internship at Shosho
it's gonna be legendary!

I know, it's been AGES since I last updated this!
Many of you have been asking when you got to see some more of my work :)
Let me explain:
During class 4, I was on a loooong trip through Eastern Europe
foolishly, I thought I could continue doing AM in the meantime
(I didn't want to take a 3 month break from animating, because I figured I'd lose my rythm)
I brought my laptop with me, and found power and/or internet wherever I could
but sadly I wasn't able to put the time into AM that I wanted to
and it really shows in the dialogue shot I did that class
in fact, it turned out so bad that I didn't want to show it to anyone
so, a little advice to any (future) AM students reading this: save your road-trip for next year!
during class 5 and class 6 (of wich the end is nearing, *sniff*) I ofcourse worked on my short film
wich was a Work In Progress this whole time but is finally getting up to a point where I might call it ready soon!
ready to be shown to the world, at any rate :)
that'll be my final AM project.
after that I will be -done-. No more AM.
I am very, very sad :(
This has been an AWESOME experience and I feel like I am not at all ready to stop soaking up all the wonderful information and atmosphere
if my wallet didn't hurt so bad, I would continue forever. Just start from class 1 again :')
anyway..
hopefully in a month or so I will be able to start my internship for the HBO study I'm doing next to AM here in the Netherlands
I will be an intern at Shosho, where I will continue animating
practicing, practicing, practicing
oh and start looking out for my contribution to the 11 second club :D
I will post my short up here soon.

shots take longer to finish these days.
the last shot I made in class 3 continued on to class 4, where we added in lipsync

so.. time for my final animation of class 3!
boy did this fly by!
and it's amazing how things can change.. from feeling completely frustrated and dissapointed in yourself, to, well, kind of proud ;)
especially since Dana really liked how my final shot came out! <3
it really made me blush :o
( yay! )
also, I got my personal assessment again, and my overall grade is a B+, could have been an A I think if I hadn't handed stuff in late a couple of times..:
Areas of strength: Minnie really works hard at getting the parts she's struggling more with. Her progress this term has been wonderful! She's found a lovely attention to detail, and has a great feel for natural movement. She is getting much better at capturing the character in the animation as well.
Areas of improvement: Keep working on smooth arcs, and overlapping action. I can see as she's getting into more complex movement and acting that her sense of rhythm is really starting to develop nicely.
Progression to the next term is: Recommended. All the best to you in Class 4!!

omggggg for next week we have to come up qith 3 audio clips to animate Bishop (yay next character!) to,
but there's just soooo much to choose from!
not only movies, but series aswell! right now I'm stuck watching Scrubs videos on youtube and I'm just not getting anywhere :')
anyway!
it's been a while and that's because I've been working on ( this )
the idea was to have 2 clear emotional beats throughout the shot.

w00t!
my new mentor is Dana Boadway and she kicks ass :D
first Q&A was lots of fun and from now on there's gonna be a theme every week, lol! awesome ;)
next week I have to get myself a moustache :')
I am soo looking forward to starting on Acting,
and Dana seems perfect because she's got a history of acting and dancing and stuff, so, coolness!
also my new class is supersweet, I'm surrounded by so many talented and inspiring people!
Robert, Michael, Ryan, and probably Frank aswell!
